How it Works

I walk your doors and note lock brands and keyways. When rekeying is viable, I reset the cylinders to a new key and test every door for smooth function and strike alignment. If hardware is worn or mismatched, I’ll recommend cost-effective replacements. Prefer keyless? I install keypad and smart deadbolts and show you how to manage codes or the app.

FAQs

1. Is rekeying cheaper than replacing locks?
Usually yes. I reuse your hardware and change the internal pins to a new key.

2. Can I have one key for all doors?
In many cases yes—if brands/keyways match. I’ll advise options on site.

3. Should I upgrade to a smart lock?
Smart/keypad locks add convenience and code control; I’ll help you choose.

4. How long does rekeying take?
A typical home with 4–6 cylinders takes about an hour once I start.

5. Do you repair sticky doors or latching issues?
Yes—I adjust strikes and lubricate hardware during the visit.
